In the 1960s, NASA authorized the use of JB Champion Stainless Steel Mesh Bands for use by astronauts on their Omega Speedmasters, the first watch on the moon. The band was available with straight end pieces and curved end pieces, like the example offered here. The curved end pieces are relatively rare. There are numerous period photos online of astronauts wearing these bands on their Omega Speedmasters. One photo shows Richard Dick Gordon wearing a band identical to the example offered here. Condition is excellent, with some minor use scratches. These bands are very comfortable on the wrist, and adjust to most wrist sizes. The curved end pieces are spring loaded and self adjust from approximately 16mm to 19mm. See photos for condition details.
